Local Award
Local Award – for service in the local area or state
Awarded to an individual or club who embodies one or more of the AMBA values and has delivered a service or benefit outside the defined role or expectation of their club or committee position. This club or individual will have demonstrated the value in an exceptional manner, leading to the the betterment of multiple birth families within their local area or their state.
Criteria:
- Individual must be a financial member of AMBA
- Club must be a financial and affiliated member-club of AMBA
- 'Exceptional' means above and beyond the expectation of an existing club or committee position
- The innovative process, product or service should be able to be duplicated in other clubs and states
National Award
National Award – for service to the broad Australian multiple birth community
Awarded to an individual or club who embodies one or more of the AMBA values and has delivered a service or benefit outside the defined role or expectation of their club or committee position, or within a national project team role. This club or individual will have demonstrated the value in an exceptional manner, benefiting the wider multiple birth community of Australia.
Criteria:
- Individual must be a financial member of AMBA
- Club must be a financial and affiliated member-club of AMBA
- 'Exceptional' means above and beyond the expectation of an existing club or committee position, or national project team role
- The innovative process, product or service should be for the benefit to the multiple birth community of Australia
International Award
International Award – for service to multiple birth families internationally
Awarded to an individual who has supported multiple birth families through research and/or promotion in an international context. The research or promotion needs to be of benefit to the multiple birth community in Australia and overseas.
Criteria:
- Individual does not need to be an Australian resident or citizen
- Individual does not need to be a member of AMBA or be a parent or guardian of multiples
- Individual must have international recognition in their field of expertise
Pat Stewart Memorial Award
Pat Stewart Memorial Award
Awarded to an individual, or individuals, who have undertaken a significant project that improves the welfare of multiple birth children and their families throughout Australia. This is a prestigious award that reflects the unwavering commitment to AMBA by Pat Stewart for over 30 years. Her impact was groundbreaking, within Australia and overseas.
Criteria:
- Individual does not need to be a member of AMBA or be a parent or guardian of multiples
- The project must be based on a needs assessment for multiple birth families. It can include investigation, research, lobbying and can be either a short or long-term project
- The nomination must show how the project has addressed needs of multiple birth families and the benefits gained
AMBA Service Award
AMBA Service Award
Awarded to AMBA volunteers who have achieved a minimum of ten years of service in a club, state and/or national project team/board role. These extraordinary individuals are the stalwarts of AMBA. They fill vacancies, mentor newer committee members, provide wisdom, experience and a steady hand and keep our clubs and local services running for the benefit of multiple birth families.
Criteria:
- Individual must be a financial member of AMBA
- Individual must be a current financial or life member of an AMBA affiliated member-club
- Individual must have served a minimum of 10 full years in various roles as part of a local club, state committee, national project team or the AMBA board
- Each year of service should be listed in the nomination, along with the position(s) held in that year
- The years of service need not be consecutive
- Letters of recommendation should be provided by the current club or committee president
