The NSSMBA provides support, information and education for parents of multiples from pregnancy through to adulthood. We offer a range of services and social events throughout the year. All of these activities are coordinated and run by a dedicated team of volunteers from within the club who meet regularly to ensure the effective running of the club and to plan future events. Our geographical area covers an area north of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (roughly Mosman to North Sydney to St Ives to Ryde).

Nepean Multiple Birth Association (NMBA) is a not-for-profit organisation comprising of multiple birth families. The organisation provides support, resources and education to multiple birth families.

NMBA was formed in 1973 and is one of the 1st Multiple Birth Clubs to be formed in Australia. We are part of AMBA (Australian Multiple Birth Association) which comprises of clubs from across Australia. NMBA offer a supportive ear from “those who know”, however it is more than that: regular social interaction for those who feel isolated; whether it is home visits, a phone call, coffee mornings, playgroups, evenings out or weekends away; education at a local level such as expectant parent sessions or first-food introduction classes; breastfeeding support, equipment hire and, volunteer coordination and assistance. These services go a long way to help multiple birth families in raising their children born in very special circumstances.

NMBA is coordinated by a volunteer committee who are all members and therefore parents of multiples with busy lives. We endeavour to support our members in any way we can.

NMBA runs regular playgroups and many lifetime friendships have been formed from this. We also encourage child free meet ups where you can relax and share your journey with others who are travelling with you or have been where you are going.

Geographically NMBA covers a large are from Lithgow in the Blue Mountains to Blacktown in Sydney’s outer west and from Wiseman’s Ferry in the north to Campbelltown in the south.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like more information.

Southern Sydney Multiple Birth Association

Being the parents (or expectant parents) of multiples can be an exciting, exhausting, challenging and thrilling journey. Our club is full of members who felt the excitement and sometimes trepidation, at the prospect of having more than one baby in their home.

Even the most caring well intentioned person may say they understand how you are feeling but having twins, triplets or more children the same age is a lot different to having a singleton and is uniquely different. Members of the Association have all had multiples and are best equipped to lend moral and practical support.

Meeting others in the same situation provides the reassurance that you are not alone in your experiences. Apart from the emotional benefits of communicating with other multiple birth families, the club offers practical support and the opportunities for the fathers, siblings and extended family to get involved.

SSMBA looks forward to providing information, support, experiences and friendship, and we wish you all the joy that multiples can bring.
